About AudioBits for Kids
AudioBits for Kids is a free library of 2–5 minute audio stories for children. Each story does two things at once: it helps kids practice English, French, Spanish, or Portuguese with clear, friendly voices - and it teaches everyday life skills like hygiene, numbers, safety, kindness, and caring for nature. Everything plays on low-bandwidth connections and basic phones.
Why we built it
For more than a decade, Audiopedia Foundation has delivered spoken knowledge to women and mothers worldwide—reaching 15 million listeners. Many asked for a kid-friendly version they could use at home and in (pre-)schools. AudioBits for Kids is our answer.
What you’ll find here
- Bite-size stories (2–5 min), grouped by themes like Hygiene, Numbers, Nature, Safety, and Values.
- Language tracks in English, French, and Spanish - widely taught in primary schools across Africa and Latin America.
- No login, low data playback so teachers and parents can press play anywhere.
Where the voices come from
The stories are written by Audiopedia, kept copyright-free for education, and recorded by employee volunteers during one-hour sessions run with partners like Goodera (and available via Benevity). Native-speaker recordings give classrooms and families high-quality language exposure.
For teachers and parents
- Use a single story at morning circle or homework time.
- Encourage children to repeat key words out loud.
- Share episodes with colleagues or parent groups - no accounts required.
CSR & partnerships
AudioBits for Kids is built with CSR in mind: it’s simple for global teams to contribute their voices, immediately visible online, and easy to report on with basic play analytics. Interested in running a session or sponsoring new story packs? We’d love to collaborate.
